While homebirth in any capacity is not illegal in NC for the birthing family it is terribly limited by laws for the type of midwife that can attend your birth at home. In NC, the CPM credential is not recognized. We at Meraki Midwives believe every woman has the right to choose who cares for her and her baby and are committed to being an active part of that change.
